exciter 600 mod

Have a setup that kicks ass? Let us hear about it. Make sure to include what kind of riding your doing as well as how big the driver is. As we all know that the 300lb rider doesn't take the same setup as the 120lb rider.

Hey guys was lookin at this video today....

I wanna put a v-max 600 motor in my sled with psi twins but i have no idea what porting measurements would be and i dont have tim benders number redily available. Maybe Big Tony could help me out because i guess if you port the 600 vmax engine it brings you to 130 horse. Also, could i just bolt the vmax 600 motor in the exciter with the exciter mounting plate.

I can't help you on that but I sure would like to see it. What about putting in a even bigger motor, 700-800cc would be killer. Anyone seen one done?

The Vmax and the SX share the same bottom end. There for, the engine will be a bolt in as far as mounts go. You may have to use the exciter mounts, but the engine itself is identical and the mounts transfer over. Tim Bender sold his company and is no longer providing customer service for these older products. He now works for Polaris.

Where could i get the porting specs on how to do this, it would be a crazy machine.. 130hp... im trying to find a 600 motor for it also. Could i use everything else like the carbs, ignition, cdi , etc?? And would it be trail ridable still??

If you find a 600 engine, all you need is the carbs. your carbs will work, but you will have to change all the jetting to the 600 specs. So cheaper to just get the 600 carbs. Keep your sx ignition and cdi and use the sx exhaust for fitment. Would work well with sx twin pipes or if you can fit psi 600 twins.
